PHILADELPHIA BLACK HISTORY TOUR This tour focuses on Philadelphia’s African-American heritage. Begin your day with a visit to the Afro-American Historical and Cultural Museum, located in Center City. Also visit Philadelphia’s most significant stop on the Underground Railroad, Mother Bethel A.M.E. Church. Stroll through Society Hill to see many sites, including Head House Square, “Old Pine” Church, which was another stop on the Underground Railroad, Washington Square and Willing’s Alley, where the Free African School was located.
